Given these circumstances, this development practitioneers training meeting is a follow-up program of the 1995 Conference on Development held in Tokyo. It will train people in the practical skills necessary for effective leadership and management of global development partnership projects, and give them new insights towards building a civil society for the 21st Century. Participants will come prepared to provide training on subjects such as loan systems, environment management, vocational skills training, responding to gender issues, revitalizing education, and the like. Emphasis will be placed on new skills for leadership and the understanding of the journey to the center of wisdom. Time will be provided for developing and prioritizing futuric projects, and developing promotional materials. Visits will be made to Tokyo places of interest.
